Dark Space
Dark Space is the story of one woman's personal metamorphosis told in lush puppet spectacle and theatrical installation. A storefront becomes a theater where audience is led through tunnels and doorways to witness the puppet show unfold around them.

Dark Space was co-created by imnotlost and Infinite Coast. It was the culmination of a Chashama Performance Residency and premiered in February 2009 in New York City.

  • Do You Copy?
Do You Copy? uses bunraku-style puppets and live-video to investigate the virtual world inside one frumpy, overweight puppet's malfunctioning television set. In this surreal dream world he meets multiple copies of himself over and over again in a sinister puzzle. When his copies reveal a dark secret, our hero must decide what makes him truly original!

Do You Copy? has been developed and performed in short sections at the Hoontown International Puppet Festival 05, the Puppet Rampage Festival 07, One Arm Red, The Little Angel Theatre, and the Puppet Centre Trust. It is supported by NYSCA, the Puffin Foundation, and private donors.

  • A Seemingly Unified Spectacle
Inspired by text from Rosalind Krauss's essay, "The Impulse to See", SPECTACLE uses abstract puppetry to envision and play out "Fantasmic Products", "shards of the inorganic", "transmutation" and "an endless pulse".

It was developed through the Here Artist Residency Program and Dream-Music Puppetry NYC 2004-06. Also Supported by a Chashama Visual Arts Area Award and One Arm Red space residency. It premiered in 2006 to sold out houses at Here's Culturemart Festival.
